Asha’s initiatives and partnerships take many forms, but each program shares common objectives and in all circumstances, the safety of the children is paramount. Key to this commitment is the relationship between Asha and its program directors; and the communities, villagers and governments who work with us to enhance the opportunity for children and their carers. Wherever possible, our teachers are recruited from local communities and report directly to the leaders of these communities that we work with on an ongoing basis.
Many of the programs to date are initiatives of the Playing For Change Foundation, with whom we share common strategic objectives and a long history and relationship. Our programs often are supported by a mixture of individual and corporate donors who share a common commitment to social giving and enhancing the quality of life and opportunity for all of our program participants.
