PREPARING YOUNG MINDS | Ready To Embark On A Journey Of Learning, Growth And Empowerment
Today, it’s our pleasure to welcome some incredible new students. Meet Oh, Pairwa, lrin and Phup who recently joined us at Ban Kung Learning Center. (from L-R)
BKLC is located in rural northeastern Thailand, specifically in the expansive Isaan rice field region. This area faces unique challenges and conditions that make learning difficult for many children. Some of these bright young souls don't have parents, and too many struggle to have access to enough food.
Our mission at BKLC goes beyond teaching basic subjects and feeding the disadvantaged. We do our best to empower these children with skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. In addition to beginning English class, we also explore the arts, including traditional Isaan dance, and practice self-defense. Together, we are making a lasting impact, and giving hope!
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Asha Foundation for Humanity.
Every small contribution and act of kindness has a ripple effect on the lives of these children. Their long-standing support has been instrumental in making our life-changing program a reality.

THE JOY OF LEARNING | Step and BKLC Music Students Embark on their Guitar Journey
Congratulations to Step, the newest BKLC music student, on his first guitar lesson! We want to thank the Asha Foundation for Humanity for making this possible.
Learning chords on a guitar is no easy task for a beginner, but Step and his fellow students worked hard to conquer new chords. Soon, they will learn and sing local folk songs, which can motivate them to continue their musical journey.
We are grateful for this opportunity and appreciate Asha’s support of our kids' musical development. Cheers!

WINNING THE DREAM
Every year here in northeastern Thailand, 10 Isaan villages come together for a spirited sport competition. Each village is represented by a large group of traditional dancers parading through the village in traditional dress towards the main event.
Our very own Ban Kung Learning Center dance team had a dream and never let it go. After weeks of dedicated rehearsal, we could not be more proud to announce they won first place in this award winning parade contest!
Congratulations to our 40 member crew of BKLC mothers and students who poured their hearts out into this challenge. Each participant beautifully represented the pride of their community.
And most of all, we deeply appreciate the Asha Foundation For Humanity for supporting our weekly programs at BKLC which benefit deserving women and children of our community. Onward and upward.
