BUILDING SAFETY, BUILDING HOPE | BKLC's New Fence Project
The Ban Kung Learning Center (BKLC) is thrilled to announce the completion of a significant safety project that has been months in the making.
In response to an official request from the Don Hai Sok subdistrict here in northeastern Thailand, we undertook the construction of a nearly 100-meter-long metal fence around key areas of our pond and learning center. This new fence not only serves as a robust barrier to ensure the safety of our children but also enhances the aesthetics of our center.
BKLC brings hope for disadvantaged children in this rural farming region, offering English classes, art, dance, self-protection, and a nutritious lunch every weekend. These activities provide not only education but also a sense of joy and purpose for the kids, who eagerly look forward to their weekends at the center.
The pond, which now sits securely fenced, is an integral part of life in Isaan country. It serves multiple purposes: providing fish for food, bringing moisture to the area as blistering hot air sweeps across the water, and acting as an emergency water source for animals. In this rugged part of the world, such resources are invaluable.
We are incredibly grateful for the good folks at ASHA for making this project possible. Their mission to make the world a better place aligns perfectly with our goals at BKLC.
Furthermore, we are deeply grateful to the kind folks at PLAYING FOR CHANGE for their additional contribution, sparked by our dancers' recent performance on their globally acclaimed video "Waiting on the World to Change," which has garnered millions of views.
Let's continue this journey together, creating safe, nurturing, and educational spaces for the children of Isaan country. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

CHANGING LIVES ONE HEART AT A TIME
We are so proud of the dedicated hard work the team at the Paintbrush Foundation does each and every day for deserving children at Khlong Toey in Bangkok Thailand. It’s been our pleasure to support you for so many years and witnessed firsthand the incredible benefit you bring to your community. We stand with you. Keep up the great work. 🙏🏼It is not always easy to find the funds to cover the invisible operational costs of our school. Rent, bills, taxes, staff salaries their is no picture of the kids or videos of our lessons to show where exactly the funds are going, no sense of reward for the donors funding these, yet it is essential for us to simply keep running. But we are blessed that some people fully understand that and are still happy to help. Today we would like to thank the ASHA Foundation for Humanity 🙏❤️ for generously supporting us all these years, in countless ways. We are beyond lucky to have you trust because without you, there wouldn't be a school standing today.
